BSM JV notch another shutout conference win

JV record stays perfect against North Suburban Conference foes with win over Irondale

The Red Knights continue to cruise through the North Suburban Conference.  The latest victim was Irondale, being shutout by a score of 8 - 0.  BSM outshot the Knights by a 49 - 5 margin.

Taylor Topousis got things rolling, scoring the first 2 goals of the game.  The first on the power play with assists to Michael Blessing and Joey Winter, and the second at the 11:02 mark, assisted by Sam Mogenson.  BSM increased the score to 3 - 0 before the end of the period on a shot by Joe Haselman, with the lone assist to Taylor Topousis.

The Red Knights added 3 more goals in the middle period by Robert Papetti, Sam Mogenson, and Joe Haselman (his second of the game).  Assists went to Ryan Lawyer and Chris Flood.

The rout was completed in the third period as BSM added 2 more goals during running time.  Michael Blessing scored on the powerplay from Joe Haselman, and Chris Flood scored an unassisted shorthanded goal to round out the scoring.  Adam Clark was in net for the Red Knights and earned the shutout.

BSM will take on Conference rival Totino-Grace on Saturday afternoon.
