Benilde-St. Margaret's all-time assist leader, Dan Labosky, has announced that he will sign a National Letter of Intent to attend the University of Wisconsin beginning in 2016.

Earlier today, on his Twitter account, Labosky tweeted "Blessed and honored to announce my commitment to the University of Wisconsin. Thank you to everyone that has helped me along the way!"

During his four-year Red Knight career, Labosky became the school's career assist leader (142), setting the record during his senior season when he tallied a school-record and state-leading 58 assists, the 16th highest total in state history. His 142 career assists ranked 13th in state history.

Among his career awards, Labosky earned the team's Vic St. Martin Coaches Award as a freshman, was named honorable mention all-state and to the All-State Tournament in 2012 while helping to lead the Red Knights to the Class AA state title.

In 2013, he was named third-team All-Metro and was a Mr. Hockey finalist, an award won by his linemate and future Wisconsin teammate, Grant Besse.

Labosky was also a two-time all-conference selection in both hockey and baseball.

In his third season with the Tri-City Storm of the United State Hockey League, Labosky is an assist captain and has recorded two goals and six points in eight games this season. He has played 108 career regular-season games with 19 goals and 68 points. He tallied two goals and four points in seven playoff games last season.
