Benilde-St. Margaret's Boys' Hockey

The junior varsity and varsity games, scheduled for 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m., respectively, between the Marshall School of Duluth and Benilde-St. Margaret's, has been postponed due to a Winter Storm Warning issued by the National Weather Service.

In issuing the warning, the National Weather Service stated "Snow developing between 9 p.m. CST and midnight tonight ... With significant accumulations after midnight Friday and lasting into Saturday evening.

"Nine to 13 inches of snow are likely across Central Minnesota and the Twin Cities Metropolitan Area.

"Heavy snow on Saturday, combined with increasing winds speeds may result in near blizzard conditions, especially in open country. Wind chills will plummet to around 30 below on Saturday night.

Benilde-St. Margaret's director of athletics Jerry Pettinger stated that an attempt to reschedule the contests will be made.
