Red Knights upend Elks in Holiday Classic

Steinhauser extends point streak to 27 games in leading BSM to victory.

Pat Steinhauser extended his point-scoring streak to 27 consecutive games with a goal and an assist, leading Benilde-St. Margaret's to a 2-1 consolation semifinal win over Elk River in the Holiday Hockey Classic.

He scored the game's first goal, with two minutes, 52 seconds remaining in the opening period, when he scored from the left faceoff circle, and then assisted on Patrick Daly's power-play goal at 4:08 of the second period.

Justin Quale got his third start of the season and collected his third win by stopping 28 shots as BSM held a 37-29 advantage in shots on goal.

With the win, the Red Knights advance to the consolation championship, Thursday, at 2:30 p.m. versus Centennial.
