Edina allowed the final three goals of Tuesday's loss to Benilde-St. Margaret's but scored the first three goals of the game two days later as the Hornets came away with a 4-1 win over the Red Knights.
The Red Knights, after getting outshot, 16-6, in the opening period, fought back after falling behind 3-0 as Zach Gionet's power-play tally 10 minutes, 22 seconds into the second period gave hosts some life.
However, Edina put the an exclamation mark on the win when Nick Bakke scored a 3-on-5 short-handed goal for the Hornets with 8:31 to play in the game.
BSM goalie Paul Lundberg turned in a season-high 30-save performance in the loss, dropping his first game of the season.
The Red Knights return to action Tuesday, with a 5:30 p.m. contest at Irondale.
