Gionet scores three in the third to spark Red Knight win.

Zach Gionet scored twice on the power play and added a short-handed goal, all in the third period, and a four-goal final frame allowed Benilde-St. Margaret's to overcome a two-goal deficit and post a 5-3 win at Osseo.

After a scoreless first period, the Orioles scored three power-play goals to take a 3-0 lead with just under six minutes remaining in the second period.

Bobby Papetti finally got the Red Knights on the scoreboard with four minutes, 22 seconds to play in the middle frame but BSM still entered the final period trailing, 3-1.

Gionet's first goal was short-handed and came just 1:23 into the final period. Tanner Ahlborn followed with the equalizer just 39 seconds later.

Less than a minute later, Gionet scored what turned out to be the game-winning goal on the power play and tacked on another power-play marker with 5:39 remaining.

Joey Winter and Joe Haselman each assisted on two of Gionet's three goals.

The Red Knights will take a 10-4-1 record into Saturday's non-conference game at Holy Angels. Game time is slated for 5:30 p.m. at the Richfield Arena.
