Benilde-St. Margaret's Boys' Hockey

Zach Gionet score a pair of goals and a 55-shot barrage by Benilde-St. Margaret's led the Red Knight junior varsity to a 5-1 win over Chisago Lakes.

Gionet scored the game's first goal, six minutes into the contest, and Michael Nanne followed just 54 seconds later as BSM grabbed a 2-0 lead.

Kylum Hart got the Wildcats on the scoreboard with 5:12 to play in the opening stanza but Gionet restored the two-goal lead when he scored just 47 seconds into the second period.

Andrew Krough would add a goal late in the second period and Storm Sullivan tipped in a Tanner Ahlborn shot with 3:05 to play in the game to finish the scoring.

The Red Knights got 10 of their 55 shots on three power-play opportunities and Gionet and Chris Hickok led the way with seven shots apiece.

BSM is on the road Thursday when they travel to Moorhead to face the Spuds in a 5:30 p.m. game at the Moorhead Sports Center.
