BSM junior varsity dominant in win over Irondale

Winter tallies six-points in 10-0 win.

Joey Winter had a goal and five assists and Benilde-St. Margaret's racked up 59 shots on goal in defeating Irondale, 10-0,

Winter had assists on four of the Red Knights' first five goals before adding an unassisted tally to open the third period and then setting up Brooks Rennie for the game's final goal.

BSM's 10 goals were scored by 10 different players and seven different players recorded multiple-point games, led by Winter.

Bobby Papetti had a goal and two assists while chipping into the win with a goal and an assist each were Rennie, Joe Haselman, Robert Lance, Tanner Ahlborn and Lucas Dickison.

Papetti and Dickison scored back-to-back power-play goals in the second periods as the Red Knights were 2-for-4 on the power play.

Paul Lundberg needed to make just three saves, as BSM had a 59-3 advantage in shots on goal, to record his second shutout of the season. He also recorded his second assist of the season in the victory.

The Red Knights play their final North Suburban Conference game of the season, Thursday, when they host Totino-Grace at 5 p.m. in their 2010-11 home finale.
