Duluth East scored just 84 seconds into the game and never looked back in handing the Benilde-St. Margaret's junior varsity an 8-0 loss in the team's season finale.
After a four-hour drive through a snowstorm, the Red Knights got off the bus and faced another storm in the form of the Greyhounds, who had a 13-2 advantage in shots on goal in the opening period, en route to a 3-0 lead.
East scored four goals on 19 shots against Isaac Melin before he was relieved, in a planned exchange of goaltending duties, by Paul Lundberg, who would go onto record 11 saves.
BSM finishes the season with an 18-6-1 record.
