Former Red Knight helps Canucks take 2-0 lead

Andrew Alberts made his first appearance in the Stanley Cup finals, Saturday, as the Vancouver Canucks took a 2-0 lead over the Boston Bruins.

In the 3-2 overtime win, he saw 11 minutes, 40 seconds of ice time on 17 shifts.

Alberts, whose NHL career began with the Bruins, is in his second season with the Canucks and his sixth overall in the NHL.

Limited to just four games during this year's playoff campaign, Alberts had a goal and seven points in 41 games this season as Vancouver won the President's Trophy, emblematic of the team with the best regular-season record in the NHL.

The Stanley Cup finals resume play in Boston, Monday, as the Canucks, in their third final, look to claim their first Stanley Cup.
