Lyke strikes back after Jaguars take lead.

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. -- Bloomington Jefferson scored on the power play just 34 seconds into the third period but the lead it gave the Jaguars lasted just 18 seconds before Logan Lyke tied the game and Benilde-St. Margaret's skated to a 3-3 tie with Jefferson.

The Jaguars' second power-play goal of the game came on their third opportunity but Lyke's response, his team-leading 10th goal of the season, tied the game.

BSM had taken a 2-0 lead in the first period when it out-shot its host, 11-2.

The Red Knights took the initial lead with 5:05 to play in the opening frame as Mason Baldwin scored his second goal of the season.

Just 70 seconds later, Lyke set up Charlie Damberg, who scored his third goal in five games.

Jefferson turned the tables in the second period, using an 11-3 advantage in shots on goal to score the only two goals of the period, sending the game into the final period tied at 2-2.

BSM continues Metro West Conference play, Thursday, when the Red Knights return home for a 5 p.m. game versus Chaska.

Mason Baldwin's power-play goal gave the Red Knights a 1-0 lead in the first period.
