Red Knight junior tallies assists in pair of wins

The USA Under-17 Select team is off to a 2-0 start in the Five Nations Tournament in Ann Arbor, Mich., and Benilde-St. Margaret's junior-to-be Dan Labosky has contributed to both victories.

In Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Czech Republic, Labosky had an assist on the USA's third goal and he added another assist in Wednesday's victory, helping to set up the game's first goal, a power-play tally.

With four goals and nine assists, the line of Labosky and midget players Gabe Guertler, who played with Team Illinois last season, and Adam Erne, of the Indianapolis Ice, is the top-scoring line in the tournament.

The USA squad will have Thursday off from game action before returning to take on Slovakia, Friday, and wrap up the tournament by facing Switzerland, Saturday. Both games are at 8 p.m. CDT at the Ann Arbor Ice Cub.

Both games are available online at USAHockey.FASTHockey.com.
